Raj Kumar Gupta is the director of the upcoming Hindi-language crime thriller Raid 2. Starring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor, the movie is a follow-up to Raid (2018). Amay Patnaik (Devgn), an IRS officer who investigates another white-collar crime, returns in Raid 2.
The income-tax raid carried out by the Income Tax Department officials who collaborate with intelligence organizations to investigate white-collar crimes serves as the basis for the sequel, just like the first movie. The movie was revealed in April 2020. Filming was place in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Mumbai throughout the first part of 2024.

The new movie explores another white-collar crime and centers on Indian Revenue Service Officer Amay Patnaik, who has so far seized over 4200 crores in his searches. This time, he raids Dada Bhai’s (Riteish Deshmukh) property for the 75th time.

Casting
In the prequel, Ajay Devgn plays Amay Patnaik again. Riteish Deshmukh joined the cast in January 2024. ,whilst Vaani Kapoor replaced Ileana D’Cruz and was cast with Devgn
Filming
On January 6, 2024, principal photography got underway in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Mumbai. Telugu actor Ravi Teja, who starred in the Telugu version of Raid in 2024, provided the film’s mahurat shot. [ The film entered post-production after primary filming concluded in April 2024 and patchwork was completed by late May 2024. After all of the filming was over in May 2024, director Gupta made the decision to include two special item numbers before to the movie’s premiere.
Release Date
Raid 2 will now be released on May 1, 2025, to take advantage of the long weekend of International Labor Day and Maharashtra Day, instead of February 2025 as originally planned. Raid 2 budget and cast fees
The film is said to have been produced on a ₹48 crore budget. According to reports, Ajay Devgan received ₹20 crore for his part in the film. Vaani Kapoor, who played Ajay Devgan’s wife, reportedly made ₹1 crore, while Riteish Deshmukh, who played Dada Manohar Bhai, reportedly received ₹4 crore.
